Brett carved this pumpkin on Friday night, I was too tired and have been too busy to post about it 'til now. Brett is a bit sad as this was the last pumpkin of the year. This was also his hardest pumpkin of the year...make that the hardest pumpkin he has ever done. Not to mention the most time consuming of any design he has ever done. As in 5 hours worth of time!!
In the end it was all worth it. Brett had wanted a challenge, which he got, and every trick-or-treater that we got complimented all the pumpkins. Well, not the kids, the parents were doing the complimenting. But you know what I mean.
Anyways, here are some more photos:
Oh, in case you're not sure what it is, it's a stretched out face. I think it's an Anne Stokes design? I could be wrong on that one.
So the pumpkins have been carved and now the countdown for next Halloween. 'Til then, hoped everyone had a spooky All Hallows Eve!!!
Just goes to show what kinds of amazing random talents people have - those are some awesome pumpkins! Bet you didn't know that was part of the package at the beginning :)
ReplyDeleteAnd the last pumpkin of the year did not dissapoint. Another amazing creation! I hope you guys had a great Halloween. Can't wait to see what pumpkin designs Brett comes up with next year.

ReplyDeleteI had no idea that Brett was such a master carver when I first met him. I knew he was an the artsy side, but this?? And to think, he's only been carving pumpkins for 3-4 years now. The only downside is that each year he feels the need to top the previous years' pumpkin designs...so it'll be interesting what he does next year!
