Of the knitting variety, that is. You really shouldn't knit lace without them. Especially if you're anything like me and are constantly distracted and forgetting to do yarn overs here and there.
Normally I don't use lifelines...but after knitting the Queen Bee cardigan and then Ishbel, I had lost so many knitting hours trying to go back and fix my problems. So I decided to give lifelines a try, and wow. 5 minutes of time and I'm back on track!
Mae: I don't swatch for shawls either. What's the point??
I'm such a dope - I never use lifelines. And then I kick myself when I have to pull the needle out and thread it through six rows below where I was.
