Both the 2010 Olympics and Ravelympics have officially started today as of 6pm PST!! And so has the start of my very first pair of socks! I'll be attempting to knit a "top down" pair with the hopes of knitting a "toe up" pair soon after to compare the 2 ways. I'm just hoping that I can get through this first pair and that I can complete them within the next 2 weeks.
I keep telling myself to not get overly ambitious and in over my head with how many projects I can get done in the 2 week time frame. My main goal is to get the socks done, as they are my "challenging" project, but I've also decided to add 2 other knitting projects into the mix as well as a weaving project. I have a feeling that I'm not going to get much sleep in the next 2 weeks...from watching as many Olympics events and from knitting as much as I can. You can bet I'll be wearing my red Canada shirt all 17 days and wearing an extra DPN in my hair!
With that said, I cannot waste any more precious time...back to knitting! Wish me luck!
Go Canada!!
Go Team Bitchybees!!
Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteI keep fighting the urge to add more and more to my Ravelympic list, too. But I'm sticking with only one official project, and I'll add more if I finish it early. Monogamous knitting itself will be a big challenge for me!
Thanks Wendy!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely fighting the urge to add more projects too! Ugh...if only I wasn't such a slow knitter!
