Slouchy hat = Finished

I had actually finished this knitted slouchy hat project at the beginning of February, but it was only now that I am posting the pictures of the finished product. The munchkin gave me a break yesterday and actually took a nap without insisting on me holding him while he did so! He had actually fell asleep on his own in his bouncy chair. So I was able to sneak upstairs and take a few pictures in the bathroom.I do like the hat, I just wish that I had made it a little more slouchy. Not that I would've been able to anyways, I had less than an arm's length of yarn left over after I had finished the hat according to the pattern.
Even though I had made the men's version, I think the hat looks more like an oversized toque. Or maybe I just have a really, really, really big head? That's probably the case. I don't know if I will ever wear this hat out of the house.
I don't really like how it looks on me, and I don't like how the hat looks on me from behind. It sits kinda funny. But I do like how it kinda looks like a starfish design at the crown.

Oh well, C'est la vie!! I'm just glad that I at least finished the project...it took me how long?? Yay! One more project to tick off my to-do list!

PS: I'm wearing my favorite lipgloss...it's from M.A.C's Heatherette collection, Style Minx Lipglass. It's quite a bright, neon fuchsia color, but you can't really tell in the photos. I rarely get to wear it cause it's one of those colors that should be worn more at night time cause too many people stare at you when you wear it during the day. Not to mention it's one of those colors that always seems to find its way onto your teeth. So I find every opportunity to wear it.

  1. I like the hat! I think it looks great. Check out the pattern I made from Drops. It was easy, quick and can be super slouchy. I wear mine more than I would like to admit..haha.

  2. Thanks! I wish I was able to make it more slouchy, but I had run out of yarn and the store that I got it at didn't have the color any more.
I just checked out the hat that you made. That was the look I was going for! Yours look so professionally made! I really like how defined the edge of the hat is, I think the pattern that I had used made the edge and the rest of the hat blend too much together. I'll definitely be giving the DROPS pattern a try!

  3. I really like this hat! I was searching for a pattern that I could make for my brother and this is just what I was looking for! If you remember any of the pattern maybe you could type it out! I'm not a very experienced knitter so I don't know if I could figure it out myself.
